We have a wide range of classes for all ages and abilities. As well as private sessions are available.
Ages 4-5 (45 minutes): Develop basic movement skills, musical awareness, expression, and creativity. An introduction to dance, this class introduces a structured environment with a focus on coordination, rhythm, fun dance skills, simple ballet & jazz steps.
Ages 5-8 (45 minutes once or twice a week): Develops students physical skills, stamina, creativity, expression and musicality using a range of sounds and musical styles. This strong foundation prepares students for a successful transition to ballet and other dance genres.
Ages 7 years & up and 11 years & up (1-1.5hrs, twice a week): Provides a broad, pratical dance education, progressively developing the technical, musical, and performance skills of the student. They incorporate Classical Ballet, Free Movement, and Character. Classical Ballet is the core of the syllabus.
Unique All Boys Ballet class. Many athletes exhibit strength but may be lacking in other areas. This is where ballet enters in. Ballet lessons can improve your strength, increase flexibility, and make you more agile while providing mind-body connection and reducing your risk of injury. Ballet is part of a comprehensive fitness plan that would enrich any athlete's performance. We off all boys ballet classes: Primary, age 5-7 and Grade 1, age 7-10.
Ages 12 years & Up (1.5hrs, two or three times a week): This Syllabus has been designated to give the necessary training to students who wish to study seriously and pursue a possible career in dance or dance related subjects. At the earliest level pointe work is introduced for the first time.
Ages 19 and Up (1 hour once or twice a week): Adult Ballet at AzestA has become one of our most popular programs. This class is for the adult that has always wanted to try something new! The class will focus on the basics of ballet technqiue with an emphasis on proper alignment, musicality and fluidity of movement.
Ages 19 and Up: Adult Fitness class using the barre as a prop. Using the barre participants do ballet style exercises that focus on isometric strength training combined with high reps of small range-of-motion movements. Focusing on toning core and legs.
Private class, 5 years and onwards, by audition): Competition privates or classes are where dancers will learn and work on a choreographed dance for the season. Dancers will be placed in classes based on their dance experience. All dancers in competition privated or classes must take a minimum of 2 hours of ballet per week.
